Power to heat

The SOL-THOR is a 0 – 3.6 kW infinitely variable DC power manager for photovoltaic heat.

The DC Power Manager uses the direct current from the photovoltaic modules directly to generate heat. The solar power is efficiently converted into heat by transferring the direct current from the photovoltaic modules exclusively and almost loss-free to a connected heating element.

Another feature of the DC Power Manager is its self-sufficient mode of operation. The device does not require a connection to the power grid as it supplies itself with energy from the PV generator.

The heating element, for example a my-PV screw-in heating element, is installed separately in the storage heater. This means that existing heating elements in existing storage heaters can also be controlled with the SOL-THOR. In this way, the simple retrofitting of an ecological heating system can also be implemented economically.

The SOL-THOR can be used flexibly with a PV system of 1 to 10 PV modules.
